if you drill a hole in your fridge door you can then check that the light inside has gone off when you shut the door! Very Happy

Okay people - before you rush to try this at home - remember to have the right equipment at hand!

Apart from the drill, you will require a 10mm bit. Not 8mm and not 12mm.

Before you drill the hole - this is where I made the mistake - you need to purchase an "eyespy". Yes - the spyhole lens that you usually fit to the front door.

Once you drill the hole, it is a simple matter of following the two part instructions to fit the eye piece. This improves vision greatly for the poor little guy who has to keep running backwards and forwards to turn the light out. The light, or lack of it is easily descernable through the spyhole, and maintains the health of the fridge elf.

I made the mistake of leaving an open hole and after a while the light stayed on. This was because my elf died from pneumonia which was caused by a draft through the hole!
