Didn't think they were flexible enough to pull off some of them curves, but you never can tell... What a Face

We have looked at every possibility and can't come up with a rational explanation. The light trail is too long to be an insect or moth we feel. It's a mystery.....

after analysis the dashes appear to be uniform in distance which would indicate different reflections off of flapping wings therefore it must have been some form of insect.

hmm... fair comment..
We discussed this at length, and agreed that it does indeed look like wing-beats. Only we are now at a loss to determine at what speed this insect(?) would have been flying at to have been captured in the flash of the camera and leave such a lengthy and aerobatic trail.
Yes it was captured with a 35mm camera, and time lapse photography produces this effect. However - standard presets for flash photography were being used as can be confirmed by the well defined figure present in the photograph. I have found it difficult to make any comments on photographs that others get excited over, when I have no idea of the history behind the picture, or the circumstances at the time it was taken. My favourites are the ones taken by excitable woman who insist that their little finger never went in front of the lens! hahahahahaha! What a Face
